What is Orbit Match?
Orbit Match is a timing game with one deliberate attempt per orbit. A spark travels around a circle while a highlighted zone marks the target. The useful skill is anticipating the arrival instead of chasing the moving spark with repeated inputs.
Each orbit has a new target position. Observe enough movement to judge the direction and speed, then commit near the middle of the zone.
Rules and controls
- Watch the spark approach the highlighted target sector.
- Press once when it is inside the zone.
- A second attempt in the same orbit is not permitted.
- Wait for the next orbit before trying again, whether the previous attempt succeeded or missed.
Tap the circle or press Space while the playfield is focused.
Scoring and rewards
A successful stop counts as one objective. A stop closer to the center earns a better displayed score. Reward coverage counts successful orbits, while failed and skipped opportunities affect precision.
Points and XP scale with objective performance, precision, and round length. At full reward performance, a 30-second round earns up to 20 base points and 30 XP. Each level gained adds a 0.1% point bonus. Guest practice has no reward balance.
For eligible rewarded rounds, points remain pending until the sponsored claim’s 12 seconds of focused time and fresh hCaptcha are complete. No ad click or purchase is required.
How difficulty changes
The orbit period shortens and the acceptable target zone narrows as difficulty rises. The reference counts actual reachable orbit opportunities rather than applying an automatic difficulty bonus.
Difficulty increases after every three starts of this game during a UTC day, up to level 10, and resets at 00:00 UTC. Your player level and its point bonus are separate from the game’s daily difficulty.
Strategy
Build a repeatable approach
Aim for the center of the zone instead of reacting at the first visible edge. This leaves room for small input and display delays.
Improve your next attempt
Use the beginning of each orbit to recalibrate. A timing rhythm from an earlier difficulty may no longer fit the current speed.
A worked round
- The zone is ahead of the spark on the right side of the circle.
- Watch its motion and prepare as it nears the zone.
- Press once near the zone’s center, then wait for the next cycle.
Common mistakes
- Repeatedly pressing Space in the hope that one tap will count.
- Using the same delay for every new target position.
- Reacting after the spark has already left a narrow zone.
Questions
Which controls should I use?
Tap the circle or press Space while the playfield is focused.
How should I interpret my result?
The score summarizes this game’s objectives and mistakes. Reward performance is calculated against this game’s own objective benchmark, then scaled by round length. Review the base points and level bonus on your claim receipt.
