What is Reaction Lights?

Reaction Lights measures controlled reaction rather than anticipation alone. A waiting signal is followed by a go signal after a variable delay. Pressing too early is a mistake, even if your guess would have been fast.

The changing delay prevents a fixed tapping rhythm from replacing observation. Relax during the waiting phase and respond to the actual transition.

Rules and controls

  1. Wait while the signal indicates not to press.
  2. Act only when the go signal appears.
  3. Use one response for the current signal.
  4. Reset your attention for the next variable waiting period.
Controls

Use the main reaction button or its displayed keyboard shortcut while the game has focus.

Scoring and rewards

Valid reactions count as objectives. Reaction speed affects raw score, while premature presses and missed signals hurt precision. The reward reference counts signals with a practical response window before the round ends.

Points and XP scale with objective performance, precision, and round length. At full reward performance, a 30-second round earns up to 20 base points and 30 XP. Each level gained adds a 0.1% point bonus. Guest practice has no reward balance.

For eligible rewarded rounds, points remain pending until the sponsored claim’s 12 seconds of focused time and fresh hCaptcha are complete. No ad click or purchase is required.

How difficulty changes

The schedule becomes more demanding at higher daily difficulty. The useful response remains a visible reaction to the go state, rather than a guess based on the previous wait.

Difficulty increases after every three starts of this game during a UTC day, up to level 10, and resets at 00:00 UTC. Your player level and its point bonus are separate from the game’s daily difficulty.

Strategy

Build a repeatable approach

Keep one finger ready and release tension in your hand. Excess tension often produces an early input before the signal changes.

Improve your next attempt

Use a short verbal cue for the actual go state. Do not count a fixed number of beats and press automatically.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

A worked round

  1. The display remains in its waiting state for an unfamiliar delay.
  2. Keep your hand ready without pressing.
  3. When the go signal appears, respond once and then prepare for a fresh wait.

Common mistakes

  • Guessing the transition from a repeated rhythm.
  • Holding or repeatedly pressing the response control.
  • Treating an early press as useful because it occurred close to the go signal.

Questions

Which controls should I use?

Use the main reaction button or its displayed keyboard shortcut while the game has focus.

How should I interpret my result?

The score summarizes this game’s objectives and mistakes. Reward performance is calculated against this game’s own objective benchmark, then scaled by round length. Review the base points and level bonus on your claim receipt.

Ready to put it into practice?
