What is Brick Burst?

Three rows of bright bricks hang above a bolt launcher. Each bolt travels through its path, banks off the side walls, and can break several bricks before leaving the top. The board persists between launches, so later shots should target the bricks that remain.

Brick Burst is a 60-second game built around bricks destroyed by deliberate bolt launches. The round keeps running after an error, so use the next opportunity to recover. Your best improvement comes from learning the board rather than pressing the controls faster.

Rules and controls

  1. Tap a horizontal aiming position on the field to launch a bolt along that direction. With a keyboard, adjust the aiming marker using Left and Right, then press Space. One bolt can be launched during each launch interval.
  2. A dotted preview shows the current aiming direction. Side walls reflect the bolt, while broken bricks disappear from the field. When all fifteen bricks are gone, a fresh board opens for the next launch; a board-clear animation is not a separate reward objective.
  3. Controls are available on the game board as well as the listed keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard controls apply while the game stage is focused; they do not take over account forms or page navigation. During the countdown, watch the starting position and prepare your first move.

Use the controls displayed above the playfield. Touch buttons and keyboard shortcuts are shown before the round begins.

Scoring and rewards

Each brick actually crossed by the bolt adds one hit and 100 arcade score. Clearing a board adds a visual score bonus, but reward performance counts destroyed bricks only. A launch that hits nothing or an unused completed launch interval adds a miss.

The displayed arcade score describes this game, while reward performance uses bricks destroyed against a duration-specific benchmark. Longer rounds have a larger base budget. Mistakes reduce precision, and the level bonus applies afterward. Waiting on a finished opportunity cannot create extra objectives or points.

Points and XP scale with objective performance, precision, and round length. At full reward performance, a 60-second round earns up to 40 base points and 60 XP. Each level gained adds a 0.1% point bonus. Guest practice has no reward balance.

For eligible rewarded rounds, points remain pending until the sponsored claim’s 12 seconds of focused time and fresh hCaptcha are complete. No ad click or purchase is required.

How difficulty changes

Higher difficulties shorten the launch interval. Brick geometry stays readable, but you have less time to inspect the remaining columns and choose a useful bank angle.

Difficulty rises with repeated daily attempts, then follows the daily reset. A later difficulty changes the challenge rather than extending the timer. Read the live board again when the pace changes; a memorized button rhythm can stop matching the next opportunity.

Difficulty increases after every three starts of this game during a UTC day, up to level 10, and resets at 00:00 UTC. Your player level and its point bonus are separate from the game’s daily difficulty.

Strategy

Read before acting

Look for a line that intersects more than one remaining row. A near-vertical launch is reliable early, while wall banks can reach isolated bricks after a central column is empty.

Recover deliberately

After a weak launch, study its visible trail. Adjust the next angle based on the bricks the bolt passed beside instead of firing repeatedly through a cleared column.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

A worked Brick Burst sequence

  1. The middle column is full. Aim near the center and launch through its three brick rows.
  2. Those bricks disappear, leaving side columns. Move the aiming marker toward the right so the next bolt crosses a different group.
  3. Only a left-side brick remains. Use the wall reflection preview to route a banked shot through its position.

Common mistakes

  • Launching through an already empty column produces a visible bolt but no destroyed bricks.
  • Treating the clear-board bonus as additional reward hits confuses arcade score with the actual brick objective count.

Questions

What exactly counts as a successful objective?

A hit is one previously intact brick crossed by a launched bolt. Multiple bricks on one trajectory can each count once.

What should I do after a mistake?

Use the persistent field and the last bolt trail to choose a new angle. A missed launch does not restore destroyed bricks.

Can I earn a full result by leaving the game open?

No. Brick Burst credits only bricks destroyed by deliberate bolt launches produced by fresh, valid inputs. An idle board may continue its animation, but it does not complete those objectives for you. Practice is available without an account; reward points require signed-in rewarded play and the claim checks.

Ready to put it into practice?

Try one focused round, then use the result to choose one thing to improve.
