What is Operator Quest?
Operator Quest leaves a missing operation inside an equation. You must choose the arithmetic operator that makes the displayed relationship true. The numbers are already supplied, so the task is testing relationships rather than entering a calculated result.
A useful first step is to estimate how the result compares with the inputs. A much larger result suggests a different operation from a small difference.
Rules and controls
- Read the complete equation, including its target result.
- Try the proposed operation between the two inputs.
- Select the operator that makes the equation true.
- After feedback, inspect the next equation independently.
Select an operator button or its displayed keyboard shortcut.
Scoring and rewards
Correct operator choices provide objectives. Wrong answers lower precision and break the displayed streak. The reward benchmark allows reasoning time that increases with difficulty.
Points and XP scale with objective performance, precision, and round length. At full reward performance, a 45-second round earns up to 30 base points and 45 XP. Each level gained adds a 0.1% point bonus. Guest practice has no reward balance.
For eligible rewarded rounds, points remain pending until the sponsored claim’s 12 seconds of focused time and fresh hCaptcha are complete. No ad click or purchase is required.
How difficulty changes
Daily progression makes the arithmetic relationships more demanding or the response window tighter. The operations stay recognizable, but a memorized answer pattern does not solve new equations.
Difficulty increases after every three starts of this game during a UTC day, up to level 10, and resets at 00:00 UTC. Your player level and its point bonus are separate from the game’s daily difficulty.
Strategy
Build a repeatable approach
Eliminate obviously impossible results before calculating every option. A subtraction cannot produce a value larger than both positive inputs in the usual prompt.
Improve your next attempt
Verify multiplication and division carefully when the same small numbers could make several familiar facts look plausible.
A worked round
- The equation shows 8 ? 4 = 2.
- Addition, subtraction, and multiplication do not produce 2.
- Choose division, then read the next target result before selecting again.
Common mistakes
- Calculating an answer while forgetting that the choice should be an operator.
- Reading the target result as another input.
- Picking the operator used in the previous equation without checking the new numbers.
Questions
Which controls should I use?
Select an operator button or its displayed keyboard shortcut.
How should I interpret my result?
The score summarizes this game’s objectives and mistakes. Reward performance is calculated against this game’s own objective benchmark, then scaled by round length. Review the base points and level bonus on your claim receipt.
