What is Ricochet Shot?

A launcher sits below a floating target, but the target must be reached through a side-wall bank. Choose the impact height on the illuminated wall and let the reflection carry the shot onward. The useful angle depends on both the target position and the selected wall.

Ricochet Shot is a 45-second game built around single-wall bank shots that intersect the target. The round keeps running after an error, so use the next opportunity to recover. Your best improvement comes from learning the board rather than pressing the controls faster.

Rules and controls

  1. Tap the game field at the height where you want the shot to meet the illuminated side wall. The horizontal tap position is ignored for aiming. Keyboard players adjust the wall marker with Up and Down, then fire with Space.
  2. The blue wall is the required bank surface. A preview line runs from the launcher to the chosen wall point and back into the field. The target changes each interval, and the wall can switch sides, so inspect the full route before firing.
  3. Controls are available on the game board as well as the listed keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard controls apply while the game stage is focused; they do not take over account forms or page navigation. During the countdown, watch the starting position and prepare your first move.
Controls

Use the controls displayed above the playfield. Touch buttons and keyboard shortcuts are shown before the round begins.

Scoring and rewards

A reflected shot that intersects the target adds one objective and 120 score. A bank passing above or below the target records a miss, and an unused completed target interval is a missed opportunity. Each target allows one committed shot.

The displayed arcade score describes this game, while reward performance uses bank shots landed against a duration-specific benchmark. Longer rounds have a larger base budget. Mistakes reduce precision, and the level bonus applies afterward. Waiting on a finished opportunity cannot create extra objectives or points.

Points and XP scale with objective performance, precision, and round length. At full reward performance, a 45-second round earns up to 30 base points and 45 XP. Each level gained adds a 0.1% point bonus. Guest practice has no reward balance.

For eligible rewarded rounds, points remain pending until the sponsored claim’s 12 seconds of focused time and fresh hCaptcha are complete. No ad click or purchase is required.

How difficulty changes

Higher difficulty shortens aiming time and reduces the target radius. Wall reflection remains exact: the incoming and outgoing horizontal directions mirror one another, so a careful geometric choice still works.

Difficulty rises with repeated daily attempts, then follows the daily reset. A later difficulty changes the challenge rather than extending the timer. Read the live board again when the pace changes; a memorized button rhythm can stop matching the next opportunity.

Difficulty increases after every three starts of this game during a UTC day, up to level 10, and resets at 00:00 UTC. Your player level and its point bonus are separate from the game’s daily difficulty.

Strategy

Read before acting

Imagine the target reflected through the lit wall, then connect the launcher to that imaginary point. Where that line meets the wall is the useful impact height.

Recover deliberately

After a miss, compare the visible reflected line with the target. Move the next wall marker up or down rather than changing several things at once.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

A worked Ricochet Shot sequence

  1. The left wall is lit and the target sits above the center. Move the wall marker until the returning preview points through the target.
  2. Fire once. The shot reaches the wall, reflects rightward, and crosses the target ring.
  3. The next target asks for the right wall. Rebuild the mirrored route instead of reusing the left-wall impact height.

Common mistakes

  • Aiming directly at the target ignores the required bank and usually chooses the wrong wall intersection height.
  • Using the unlit wall’s geometry when the required side changes sends the reflected path away from the target.

Questions

What exactly counts as a successful objective?

The shot must reflect from the indicated side wall and then pass within the target radius. Merely touching the wall is not a hit.

What should I do after a mistake?

The next target provides a fresh shot. Use the last trajectory as feedback, then recheck which wall is illuminated.

Can I earn a full result by leaving the game open?

No. Ricochet Shot credits only single-wall bank shots that intersect the target produced by fresh, valid inputs. An idle board may continue its animation, but it does not complete those objectives for you. Practice is available without an account; reward points require signed-in rewarded play and the claim checks.

Ready to put it into practice?

Try one focused round, then use the result to choose one thing to improve.
